Philosophy
1. Masterclock economies only work in a singular inertial reference frame. 2. Humanity should expand beyond a single biosphere. 3. Any society that can’t agree on trade has a much higher risk of conflict.
∴ humanity ought to develop protocols for multiclock economies before expanding.
Mathematics & Physics
Since there is no universal now, and the rate of time can vary significantly depending on relative velocity, acceleration, and gravitational fields, having a firm grasp on the fundamental principles of the universe is paramount.
By understanding the first principles of spacetime, entities have a better chance of agreeing on experienced time, and therefore trade.
Economics
The economic framework needs to transcend planetary boundaries, relying on a sophisticated system of universal currencies, trade agreements, and governance to facilitate cooperation and mutual benefit among diverse interstellar societies.
Ultimately there will need to be interactions between an arbitrary number of inertial reference frames.
